Kind Crates is a small South African owned business that oozes kindness, positivity and love. It is a shining example of the spirit of Ubuntu!
Kind Crates is a business innovatively born from a team and industry negatively affected by COVID. “Embracing change and the humility to start again” is a motto that co-founder Carol Roux strongly believes in and embodies in her life and business.
Through Kind Crates Carol is determined to change the future of all South Africans, one fresh produce item at a time. Everything is thoughtfully sourced from local farmers, artisan producers and local mothers. Their aim is not only to support their staff, but also the producers and creators of the fresh food. A business model by South Africans for South Africans!
In addition, every month a portion of the business proceeds is donated to a charity or organisation in need.
This month Kind Crates has partnered with My Courier SA to generously transport donated food crates of fresh produce to Kwazulu-Natal for FREE. This province has been severely affected by the chaos that has ensued in the country in the past two weeks. KZN’s supply chain has been impaired as a result and therefore basic human needs, such as food, are in acute short supply.
There is more amazing news – you can help from anywhere in the world!
Simply log onto their website www.kindcrates.co.za, order the fresh produce crate you would like to donate, select “KZN Donation Delivery” upon check-out and Voila! The trucks will deliver your donation to the various pick-up points daily. You can send crates for free to distribution points in KZN and can also do specific door-to-door deliveries at an additional charge.
Let’s feed South Africa!
